Tisha B'Av (literally "the ninth of the month of Av") is the most heartbreaking day of the Jewish calendar.

Commemorating the destruction of the Temples and the beginning of the diaspora it is a time for solemn gathering and making contact with our own brokenness. We will chant selections from Eicha (Lamentations) by candlelight.

"Baseless hatred caused the destruction," teach the rabbis. "Baseless love," they continued, helps begin the rebuilding.

Space is limited. RSVP for the address. If you feel called, please bring a small object that represents a contemporary catastrophe for a communal sharing ritual.

Will you come?
